Bold swathes of colour and bespoke furniture/accent pieces define the visitor’s lounge for Broadshift Technologies in Lagos designed by interior design firm Maison by Ineallison.
Broadshift Technologies is a Nigerian technology company, made up of a young and highly talented workforce. As such the design for the 24sqm visitor lounge needed to reflect this demographic. The brief thus, required a space that was FUNCTIONAL & FUN and was “Not MECHANICAL”, deviating from the conventional office reception or waiting areas.
The design concept sought to merge two key elements- clean lines and vibrant colours. This would be the basis of a space that showcased modern and contemporary design. This synergy comes to life in the material selection and combinations of soft furnishings with hardwood as well metal works.
With a 10-day timeline and the lounge being in use during working hours, this meant the designers had to do most of the work off-site, including fabrication and material procurement. This helped save valuable time, leaving a 2 day weekend for set up and fit-out, with the lounge ready for work on Monday morning.
