Overlooking the Thames Estuary in Essex, is a luxurious modern family home, or better yet, Mansion with quite the interior.
Designed and completely remodeled by London-based Callender Howorth this residence strikes a beautiful balance between ‘5 star hotel suite’ and ‘Luxury Home’. Its bespoke and chic whilst retaining a homely warmth and coziness.
Its hard to believe there was anything there before this, but, the remodel required them to literally gutt the house back to its brick foundations, in a bid to create a frame from which to create this truly modern family home.
With a brief that required a “…house suitable for entertaining”, they needed to open up the views  of the stunning waterfront setting, such that as soon as you entered the property one gets the impression of space and light, thus making the ground floor more conducive to entertaining.
To achieve this they removed existing walls, changed levels and completely rebuilt the entirety of the aforementioned ground floor to ensure beautiful natural light permeates into all spaces and visitors couldn’t miss the remarkable views as soon as they walked through the front door.
From that point, they proceeded to decorate the interior with texture, colour and form as evident in the sophisticated leather wall paneling in the sitting room, natural stone workspaces in the kitchen, solid wood finishing touches throughout and elegant and stylish furnishings, all which give the home a high end feel and impart a sense of luxury throughout the house.
