Waste Not: An Interesting Look at Japanese Bathrooms

Conserving water is an issue that, most would agree, should be at the forefront of considerations in design and construction.

Everything from rainwater harvesting to grey water systems seek to conserve, collect or reuse this precious resource. But what if, we could redesign our systems entirely, to be more efficient. To waste less, and use less water. Well it would appear that the Japanese are way ahead of me on this. They have distinctively different bathrooms, in not just styling but system and management. They use both technology and a good portion of intelligence to create an alternative to the traditional bathroom. Heres a fun video highlighting 12 reasons why Japanese bathrooms just may be the better way to go.
