TROPICAL LUXURY (PT. 2): THE NAMAN RESIDENCES BY MIA DESIGN STUDIO

Last updated:

This year, we’ve shared two different projects from the Naman Retreat Resort in Da Nang City, Vietnam. The visually similar Pure Spa by MIA design and The Babylon Hotel by Vo Trong Nghia Architects.

Well here’s yet another component to the retreat, also designed by MIA design, the Naman Residences. There are 40 villas that make up the Naman Residences in the retreat and they are categorised into 4 classes, A, B, C, D. The Luxury Villas are elegant, contemporary pieces of residential design that feel very open yet offer privacy for the residents there in.

Courtyards, tropical gardens, rooftop infinity pools, all typify the multi-dimensional landscape of the Naman Residences. Natural materials such as wood, bamboo and stone compliment the clean lines and open air design of the villas which takes advantage of vertical space with an upper volume which houses the more private spaces (bedrooms, bathrooms) and the more public lower volume housing the living, dining and kitchen directly connected to an outdoor pool and landscape. The roof of the lower block also features a pool which serves to cool down the building and provide luxurious amenity for the residents.

The villas all have a similar aesthetic, sleek and simple, hurricane resistant structures that are surprisingly not too expensive to construct. They are naturally ventilated and offer an indoor-outdoor ambience that MIA design studio are masters at creating. Heres a look at each one
