I’m sure you remember the ‘SkyPool’ in London from last week, well it would appear they have competition for the proverbial ‘top spot’ from an equally daring development in India.
The five-tower Twilight Star development in Surat, Gujarat, will feature a 20 m long, 7 m wide suspended swimming pool that is entirely transparent. It will link two residential blocks in much the same way as the aforementioned ‘Sky Pool’.
Despite obvious similarities between the two pools, the Twilight Star swimming pool features a section that cantilevers from the towers– allowing residents to swim beyond the external walls and seemingly float over the city. The Surat pool is also suspended higher up, connecting the 12th storeys of the apartment blocks.
