HTL Africa

The Infinity Mosque Concept by HTL Africa seeks to redefine how Islamic places of worship are designed.

HTL Africa recently shared a concept design for what they all the “infinity mosque”, a design scheme intended for the Dubai Creek Harbour. Inspired by the idea of a man praying under a palm tree, their design poses the question, “should the mosque open up?”. This enquiry leads to a bold new approach to the design of this worship space. As they describe it,

“Our Analysis yields the possibility for a new wrap-around space in the mosque that can be the threshold where non-believers can reach to experience the mosque without necessarily entering into it. This will help the spread of the true teachings of islam, by a friendly and indeed beautiful gesture. Surrounding the site are several contemplation gardens giving the users a place of respite where even green has extra significance.”
