ORIGINAL TAG(THIS PROJECT IS AN ORIGINAL SUBMISSION FROM DAMILANO STUDIO ARCHITECTS. IF YOU’D ALSO LIKE TO FEATURE A PROJECT ON OUR SITE, SUBMIT AN ARTICLE OR, SHARE SOME KNOWLEDGE YOU CAN VISIT OUR SUBMIT PAGE FOR DETAILS ON HOW TO DO SO)

In the Italian city of Cuneo, on a gently sloping site, Casa D sits as  a contemporary 355 sqm home.

Designed by Duilio Damilano of DaMilano Studio Architects, the home is split into two levels connected by a mezzanine floor as a response to the incline of the site. On one level, you have the main entrance to the house which offers a glimpse of the dining area, while the living room opens onto a large window on the porch and garden overlooking a swimming pool.

The mezzanine level separates the living and sleeping areas of the house, offering a double volume space that is conceived as the hub of the residence, featuring a library as well as direct access to the swimming pool. Its designed to be bright, vibrant and evocative. Large outdoor terraces follow the natural slope of the site in a stepped fashion, linking the poolside area to the lower level lawn.

A blend of white, wood and fossil stone walls characterise the aesthetic of Casa D, presenting a unique and inviting contemporary home.
