The Bank of Africa Tower in Morocco is set to be among the continent’s tallest skyscrapers

With construction set to begin on November 1st 2018, the Bank of Africa Tower which will stand at 250m, will be Morocco’s tallest building and runner up to Kenya’s Pinnacle Tower (currently under construction) which stands at 300m and the planned Palm Exotjca at 370m.

Designed by Spanish architects Rafael de la-Hoz Architects and Moroccan firm CHB Cabinet Hakim Benjelloun, the 55 floor tower will feature a luxury hotel and apartments, high-end offices as well as a viewing terrace atop the tower. The building, which is being developed by O Tower, a subsidiary of FinanceCom group, is aiming for  a certified LEED Gold and HQE rating for compliance with the highest international environmental quality standards.

Belgian construction firms BESIX and Travaux Generaux de Construction de Casablanca (TGCC) have been selected to complete the project which has an expected delivery date of May 30, 2022.
