The Architectural Association of Kenya, in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Kenya (HFH) is pleased to announce a design Challenge for Ultra Low Cost Housing Solution in Kenya.
HFH Kenya desires a solution that will significantly lower the cost of construction, enhance the habitability of the house, provide more flexibility in construction and utilize environmentally friendly materials. It is envisioned that the ultra-low cost housing solution would cost KES 15,000/- per square meter. This challenge is open to student members and fresh graduate members who will participate as a multidisciplinary team of three persons.
