Imagine if you could turn those ordinary, ‘hand-powered’ window blinds into smart blinds. Thats exactly what San Francisco based Ksenia Vinogradova has done. Faced with the challenge of having to open and close alot of window blinds both at home and at work, she came up with an idea that would make such a task much easier.
She created FlipFlic, a compact, solar-powered, and easy-to-install gadget that allows you turn horizontal or vertical blinds into self-adjusting, light, time, and temperature-responsive smart window.
The device attaches to pre-existing blinds, and wirelessly communicates with your mobile device. Once it’s all installed, you can then use the app to program your blinds to open and close when you want via your mobile device, and if you have them on multiple windows, you can sync them through one device.
