Design Studio specializing in sustainability and ecological tourism is looking for a landscape architect to lead the development and execution of the planting and parks strategy for interdisciplinary project.

The Landscape designer will be involved in all aspects of project development and design, including presentation preparation, schematic design, planting plans and project specifications.

Please include subject heading “Landscape Architect” in submission. Portfolio submissions to be limited to 10 pages

Minimum Qualification: Bachelors Degree

Experience Level: Intermediate level

Experience Length: 6-8 years

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and determine the client’s requirements with regards to landscape strategy.
• Develop landscape concept strategy and design solutions in coordination with design team
• Produce detailed drawings and specifications.
• Develop planting plan and exterior design strategy
• Coordinate design requirements  with consultants and contractors.
• Research and Development of Project Sustainability Metrics e.g LEED or other applicable Landscape accreditation.
• Specification and sourcing of materials
• Resolve problems and issues that may come up during project execution.
• Evaluate the work progress and prepare necessary reports.
• Performs research and maintains a working knowledge of trends and new developments in the landscape design industry
• Available for onsite visits/travel  to Abuja

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree qualification in Landscape Architecture or a related field of study.
• Must be proficient in the use of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Sketchup and other visualisation software
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator)
• Horticultural knowledge and training, e.g. previous botanical and landscape projects, will be looked upon especially favorably.
• Ability to coordinate with design team
• Good communication and presentation skills.
