Design Studio specializing in sustainability and ecological tourism is looking for a project architect to lead the development and execution of an interdisciplinary project that will include Education, Administrative and Entertainment programs. 

The Project Architect will be responsible for coordinating the overall execution of all aspects of  the project, including drawing production, construction administration and sub consultant coordination. The Project Architect will report to the Design Director.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelors Degree

Experience Level: Intermediate level

Experience Length: 6-8 years

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to develop concept plans, designs, and design solutions in response to client’s requirements.
• Coordinate design team and highlight outstanding issues in weekly meetings and correspondence.
• Research and Development of Project Sustainability Metrics e.g LEED
• Produce detailed working drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate engagements with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors on architectural requirements and design concepts.
• Specification and sourcing of materials, fittings, furniture etc.
• Resolve problems and issues that may come up during project execution.
• Supervise sub-contractors and offer guidance as needed.
• Evaluate the work progress
• Ensure design specifications align to safety standards and governmental regulations.
• Available for onsite visits/travel to Abuja

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree qualification in Architecture
• Registered Architect License
• Proficiency in REVIT, Rhino, Sketchup and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is a must.
• A good understanding of space planning and design to offer the best design solutions.
• Very good communication and presentation skills.
• Good Leadership Skills
• Prior Experience or documented interest in Architectural Sustainability a plus.
