Lignum Design is a full-service interior design firm looking to hire a Design Architect. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of space planning and should possess project supervision experience – able to effectively supervise the execution of interior design projects.

Job Overview

Minimum Qualification: Degree

Experience Level: Intermediate level

Experience Length: 2-4 years

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and determine the client’s requirements and provide advisory.
• Develop concept plans, designs and design solutions in response to client’s requirements.
• Produce detailed workings, drawings and specifications.
• Lead engagements with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors on architectural requirements and design concepts.
• Establishes project timelines, coordinates work activity and estimate project costs and budget.
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
• Specification and sourcing of materials, fittings, furniture etc.
• Resolve problems and issues that may come up during project execution.
• Supervise sub-contractors and offer guidance as needed.
• Evaluate the work progress and prepare necessary reports.
• Follow and implement health and safety standards.
• Performs research and maintains a working knowledge of trends and new developments in the interior design and architecture worlds.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree qualification in Architecture, Interior Architecture or a related field of study.
• Must be proficient in the use of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Max, etc. to create detailed design layouts and 3D Presentations.
• A good understanding of space planning and design to offer the best design solutions.
• Very good communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to multi-task and work well within a team including all members of staff, clients and contractors.
