An interior design studio with specialty in high-end Interior Design is recruiting an Architect to join its team (on a contract basis) and further drive growth within the firm. The ideal candidate would be required to possess project management experience and have the capacity to deliver projects on time and on budget from conception to completion and in collaboration with other designers, consultants and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and determine client’s requirements, develop briefs and advise them on the practicality of their project.
  • Prepare and present feasibility reports and design proposals to clients.
  • Develop concept plans, designs and design solutions.
  • Produce detailed workings, drawings and specifications.
  • Lead engagements with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors on architectural requirements and design concepts.
  • Establishes project timelines, coordinates work activity and estimate project costs and budget.
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Material sourcing and selection for furniture, lights, decorations, and fittings.
  • Resolve problems and issues that arise during construction/installation activities.
  • Supervise the work of sub-contractors and give them guidance when needed.
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.

Job Requirements

  • A Master’s degree qualification in Architecture, Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field of study. Specialist training in the above is also acceptable.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp to create detailed design layouts and 3D Presentations.
  • A strong grasp of space planning and design to generate the most value for projects.
  • The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work well within a team including all members of staff, clients and contractors.
  • A working knowledge of financial and budgetary management.
