CAP Plc is looking to hire a Colour Consultant responsible for providing colour advisory and colour advocacy in a manner that meet the wants, needs and personalities of CAP’s customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Combines colour psychology, color design theories, current trends and demographic statistics to come up with exciting spaces for clients that reflects their wants, needs and personalities.
- Creates color palettes for residential, commercial, and retail spaces.
- Uses knowledge of color psychology to meet clients’ expectations and suit spaces.
- Gives clients expert advice on how to match elements of an interior or exterior design scheme using color theory and a creative eye for detail.
- Applies skills and superior knowledge of color palette, trends, and design to produce visual effects that meet the needs of their clients; working with a variety of elements within a space, ranging from fabrics, furniture, paints and surface treatments, such as different wall and ceiling finishes.
- Transforms boring spaces into brilliant, creativity-inspiring or warm and friendly ones.
- Provides data about consumer color preferences based on demographic data.
- Liaises with DCCM to provide technical support to the customers.
- Conducts product demonstrations, training to users and contacts at the order taking points in conjunction with relevant departments in CAP.
- Internally relates with all employees.
- Externally relates with DCC Partners and Customers.
- Reports to Dulux Center manager
- Supervises the Machine Operator
Education and Years of Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study with minimum of 5 years work experience – a degree or certification in the area of fashion, interior and industrial design, architecture.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
- Must have an eye for detail, as well as the knowledge of how different colors effect various properties, such as moods.
- Specialises in the complex effects of color and its effects on spaces and humans.
- Must have an excellent eye for colour.
- Must have creative imagination.
- Must have sound technical knowledge of paints, fabrics and surfaces.
- Must have great interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to listen and accurately and interpret clients’ ideas.
