Ndebele Patterns Inspire the Nandini Range of Tables by Pinda

The Nandini range of tables designed by Pinda are bold in form, shape and colour drawing inspiration from South African Ndebele patterns usually found in Ndebele architecture. The tables evoke a sense of a modern South African aesthetic rooted in historic tradition.

NANDINI COFFEE TABLE

The Nandini coffee table is adorned with the popular step pyramid pattern, which is inspired by internationally acclaimed Ndebele artist Esther Mahlangu. Her “istegetsane” zig-zag style is greatly referenced in this bold and colourful coffee table.

NANDINI SIDE TABLE

Nandini side table is also influenced by the bold geometric patterns, with each table hand painted in bold colors. The form of the side tables allows them to be stacked, creating a totem which can be used as shelving unit.
