AfricaBuild Lagos 2017 Sneak Peek: Meet the Exhibitors

With the AfricaBuild exhibition kicking off tomorrow, we profile some of the top quality exhibitors from 12 countries taking part this year – who they are, what they are showcasing, and why you should come to the show to see it.

Poyatos Export

Nigeria’s affordable housing drive doesn’t have to mean international firms will be out-competed on price. There are fantastic opportunities in Nigeria for exporters operating one step up the value chain, in the production machinery sector – such as Poyatos, a Spanish supplier of machinery to make concrete blocks. The Granada-based company will showcase its five machines at AfricaBuild Lagos, hoping to attract Nigerian factories and material producers.

AME

Another country to find success in the Nigerian machinery market is Austria, with a number of firms well established in West Africa. One company looking to join them is AME, a producer of concrete block machines. The company’s flagship model is the AMEthyst series, which is available in five specifications to deliver up to 38,000 concrete blocks per month.

Doka

With the sheer amount of housebuilding that Nigeria needs, the country’s buyers are very keen on solutions to get buildings up as quickly as possible. German formwork and modular giant Doka will present a range of solutions that do just that, including the OneGo technology seen in action above.

Elematic

Elematic is another big name in Lagos for the AfricaBuild show. The Finnish titan of the precast concrete industry makes machinery for all kinds of walls, floors, beams, columns and the rest of a building’s structure. On offer for Nigerian buyers is the full span of offerings, from single-unit machinery to entire production lines.

Shiga

Moving away from machinery and into building materials themselves, Sigha are coming to Lagos with high-quality Austrian fastener technology. The firm specialises in wood and façade fasteners, with a range of products designed specifically for underwater use.

Jafep Paints

Long present in Morocco, Spanish paint manufacture Jafep Paints is using AfricaBuild Lagos to do business in Nigeria       as well. The firm’s products include a wide range of paints, primers, surface treatments and preparatory products for     interior and exterior finishing.
