A beige bedroom with soft decor, OliveHaus Interiors takes a subtle approach in this teenage girl’s bedroom decor.
Lagos based Interior designers describe the bedroom as “light, airy and grownish”. The bedroom decor features furniture and accessories that work together easily and refreshingly. Their goal with the styling was to create a space where the teenager “can easily create different looks as she feels and grows”.
One of the first things you’d notice in the bedroom is its predominant light and warm colour palette. A nude painted wall, white ceiling and furniture, set the tone for the styling.
Texture is introduced with the upholstered bed and furry pillows that share a similar colour palette as the wall. Also in a similar colour palette as the wall is the bed throw that accessorizes the bed softly. It also adds more texture to the room.
As part of the bedroom decor, identical nightstands with a light wood finish are placed beside the bed. The identical table lamps placed on the nightstands balance the bed with their symmetrical arrangement and proportion. Each of the nightstands are styled similarly with little difference. Cute pots of green plants are placed on both, adding a natural texture and colour to the bedroom decor.
Aside from the bed, other furniture items are introduced to complete the rooms functionality. A white dresser and matching mid-century style chair is placed on one side of the bedroom. A stylish black mirror hangs over the dresser/table. An abstract wall art with colours that tie together the different accessories in the bedroom decor hangs on the wall beside the bed.
Opposite the bed, a small lounge area is created with a curved, stylish and modern grey sofa. The throw on the sofa complements the one on the bed, while the sofa itself, complements the other furniture pieces in the bedroom.
The bedroom decor has a welcoming mellow aesthetic that cuts across the choice of furniture and accessories. From the bed, to the nightstands, the simple dresser to the curved sofa, the bedroom can be described as charming and refreshing.
