American Designer John Procario has fused his love for sculpture and lighting design, and created a distinctive collection of objects that are both sculptural art and lighting fixtures. Dubbed the Flux Collection, The sculptural lamp is made from one continuous loop of free-form bent timber which appears to change shape as you move around it never carrying the same look from any two perspectives.
The light comes from LEDs that have been embedded within the wood and covered in acrylic, to give it a seamless appearance. Here’s the description,
The Flux collection is the newest addition to John Procario’s custom series of sculptural luminaries. It is one continuous loop of a freeform bent timber. Flux has an intrinsic quality of not looking the same from any two perspectives. It’s as if the piece is constantly changing as you move around it.
