The work of Ukrainian designers ODESD2 is always inspiring to behold. This time around we look at their Q5 chair. A confluence of angles, vertices and straight lines, the Q5 chair, inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s geodesic dome, is primarily made up of triangles constructed from an aluminium alloy that is immensely strong. This seemingly folded metal structure (which could be painted in any colour) plays host to a thin layer of felt, serving as the seat, which can be upholstered in leather or fabric for warm and convenience.
Q5 is an aluminium masterpiece that is simple in its appearance and expressive in its character.
