The Chipakata Children’s Academy is a new primary school in Zambia, Africa. It is the first initiative of the 14+ Foundation, a New York City-based non-profit organization established in 2012. The design for the new school has realized the Foundation’s mission to develop, build and operate schools and orphanages in rural African communities. The site in Chipakata Village is approximately 100 kilometers east of Lusaka, Zambia’s largest city.
Given the view to the outside and users’ need, terraces or yards appear in different formats while not situated on each other at different levels. They are either seen on the sides of the building or act as a functional element to separate kitchen from the guest hall, making a proper place for keeping plants or other subsidiary functions in the kitchen.
The Saba Apartments in Tehran, designed by TDC Office feature fabricated 'wooden curtains' that form an integral part of the approach facade as well as unique planters and landscaping, which building exemplify the ideal residential architecture design for the region.
Sweet tooth confectioneries/Corner Store is a recently opened family-friendly patisserie and dessert bar / coffee lounge in Port Harcourt, situated within a fairly unique structure designed by Farouk Ghazal and Folabi Diana of Seigf Metropolitan Services.
